WE'RE ALL EQUAL
BUT WE'RE NOT THE SAME
Especially when it comes to taking care of our skin. Did you know that there are physiological differences between darker skin (a.k.a. melanin-rich skin) and lighter skin? For example, darker skin is more susceptible for hyperpigmentation, dehydration, dryness and so on. Therefore, it often requires an adapted approach.
Yet, there is still a huge lack of representation of darker skin tones in the skin care industry. On the level of product performance, as well as visual communication. For many cosmetic brands, people with darker skin remain nothing but an afterthought, as most of their products are formulated and marketed with only lighter skin in mind.
THIS IS WHAT WE STAND FOR
* FOR BLACK & BROWN SKIN
Black and brown skin is the first and main focus throughout the entire process. Our products tackle skin conditions that typically occur on these skin types
* HIGH-PERFORMING PRODUCTS
Our range of facial care products were developed in collaboration with a specialized cosmetic lab. All products are 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free and contain clinically proven active ingredients.
* WITH OUR COMMUNITY
TUBIMI wants to build a community for black and brown people to be seen, to be heard and to belong. Therefore, we will launch and support initiatives aimed at increasing their representation in several areas of this industry.
WITH TUBIMI, WE WANT TO WRITE A NEW STORY. ONE WHERE BLACK AND BROWN SKIN PLAYS THE LEAD ROLE.
TUBIMI is on a mission to preserve and celebrate the beauty of melanin-rich skin. How? By providing high-performing skin care products and by boosting representation for black and brown skin in a white-centered industry.
We want to build this brand together with our community, creating a space for you to be heard, to be seen, and to belong.
About our founder
"I dedicate TUBIMI skin to everyone who has ever felt out of place, in between worlds or outside their zone.
I spent a big part of my life trying to fit into moulds that weren’t built for me. Navigating standards that were not within my nature. Way too often claims such as “everyone welcome” proved false, leading to repeated disappointment and skepticism.
Because that’s how I feel, as a woman of colour, trying to find my place in this world: often welcomed in theory, but rarely included in practice.
Founding TUBIMI has helped me break free from the limiting beliefs placed on me by others and myself. It has empowered me to let go of the mould and start building on my own terms. And as I continue building, I invite you all to join me."
